Andrew B. Hellinger is a shareholder with Hellinger & Penabad, P.A. Mr. Hellinger’s practice is differentiated by his extensive knowledge and experience in multiple disciplines. His expertise encompasses a wide variety of sophisticated commercial matters including litigation, bankruptcy, commercial financing, business law and real estate transactions. He serves as general outside counsel to his business clients and provides advice on legal issues tailored to fit his clients’ strategic plans. Furthermore, his clients rely on him as a strategic business advisor and counselor with expertise as a lawyer to guide them through the intricacies of creating and managing businesses in today’s challenging and competitive marketplace.
From March 2006 through December 2007, Mr. Hellinger spearheaded Leviev Boymelgreen’s Miami portfolio with assets that exceeded $700 million and included multiple residential, commercial and office projects in downtown Miami and surrounding areas. Mr. Hellinger guided the company through a difficult transition and eventually created the turnaround plan that led to the profitable sale of its assets.
Mr. Hellinger earned the prestigious “AV” designation from Martindale-Hubbell, the independent legal rating system’s highest ranking. He has represented individual and institutional clients in commercial litigation matters including contract disputes, business interference disputes, foreclosures, intellectual property disputes and securities litigation as well as in complex Chapter 11 reorganizations, assignment for the benefit of creditors and out-of-court workout agreements.
Mr. Hellinger has gained extensive experience in real estate acquisitions and management in the course of his work representing developers and lenders in the acquisition, management and turnaround of real estate investments. Mr. Hellinger also is among the few attorneys in the United States who represent individual and entities in court and in administrative matters under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (“PACA”).
Mr. Hellinger’s integrated and diverse practice enables his clients to successfully navigate through the myriad of legal and business issues to achieve their business goals.
